UltraCUSE for London Luton

Ultra Electronics Airport Systems is pleased to announce the award of a contract to supply and install its UltraCUSE system at London Luton International Airport.  Two key factors determined London Luton's decision: the system, already incumbent, gave proof of providing an excellent service, while the UEAS bid was clearly commercially competitive in an open tender situation.

 

By delivering a complete Common Use environment, UltraCUSE enables airport resources to operate more efficiently. It permits the terminal's workstations and peripherals to be shared by many airlines, with clear cost benefits. The system is user-friendly, operating through industry-standard PCs and LAN technologies.

 

At London Luton, a major hub for tourist travel from and to the UK, the UltraCUSE managed service is to be operational by spring 2007.  Commenting on the award, Kamal Patel, IT Manager at Luton Airport, noted: "We selected UltraCUSE as a cost-effective system and one that we have seen rapidly gaining acceptance. We believe it will be of significant help in enabling us to adapt to changes and growth in today's competitive airport market-place."

 

The contract signals a further step in the increasing acceptance of the UltraCUSE system, following recent successful installations at airports in North and South America, Russia, China, and Europe.  The mission at Ultra is to continue to be aggressive in offering UltraCUSE to become the system of choice among Common Use platforms, and to continually grow the company's expertise to fulfil this aim.
