Overview

UltraResource allows the planning, assignment and monitoring of key airport resources through an integrated suite of modules. The user-friendly, highly configurable GUI clients are used to capture airport and airline preferences and rules. It provides real-time and long term planning support for multiple concurrent users. Web clients are used to allow simple input at check-in and gate positions, allowing airline staff local control of displays.

Resource management is supported through the use of an expert system, providing a set of algorithms to evaluate potential resource allocation according to a set of user-defined rules. These rules include constraints such as physical limitations, convenience, marketing considerations and airline/agent preferences.

The Stand Planner module allows an airline or airport operator to plan and monitor the actual movement of aircraft on the ground. A complete stand plan and subsequent history of parking locations is maintained including the duration of occupation for each aircraft.

The Gate Planner module facilitates the assignment of departure flights to boarding gates, supporting coaching operations to remote parking stands.

The Check-In Planner module is a comprehensive tool for check-in desk management, allowing operators to allocate desks to flights, airlines and / or handling agents.

The Baggage Belt Planner module allocates baggage belts to incoming flights. The allocation process can be undertaken automatically or manually. UltraResource can be delivered with our other airport operational, passenger processing and ground handling systems as part of Ultra's integrated airport solution.

UltraResource has been supplied to Oakland as part of Ultra's integrated suite of Airport Operational Systems: UltraDB, UltraFIDS and UltraResource. Oakland will use UltraResource to plan and manage the allocation of stands, gates and check-in desks.
